Pissed off.

I am UTTERLY DISGUSTED by a specific teacher in BLSS. Her behaviour towards students is unprofessional and unacceptable. Wonder why? Come, let me put it simply:

  • Never a constructive word that ever comes out of her filthy mouth. Everything has to be bad and insulting. Name-callings and words like "crap" were used in class. Shouts in class, thus affecting neighbouring classes.
  • Totally unappreciative of students' project work. Instead of giving words of encouragements, encourage effort and celebrate accomplishments (as per school values), she provides degrading comments. Adding to that, tosses books (specifically, information booklets) onto tables and floor. Guess who picks it up then? DAMN RIGHT YOU ARE, the pupils. Those poor, abused pupils. Now tell me, what's the point of the school in BOASTING that they practise the HEARTS system, when the teachers themselves need serious fixing.
  • This teacher has great aspirations. She multi tasks in class by taking a part time job as a BARBER. Students sporting unacceptable hairstyles were her victims, and her weapon of choice: THE SCISSORS. All she had to do was snip 'em off. This is abuse of power, a great insult to students' integrity, and is emotionally scarring. Are teachers authorised to do such a thing! When I was in Juying Secondary School back during the good old days, Mrs Anil and Mr Velu brought in a barber for that job. Yes, a real qualified barber, someone who cuts hair for his wages, damn'it.
  • Don't these idiots ever keep to timetables? You see, English assigment (Newspaper Report) was given on Day 1, and it is due on Day 3 because the next English period was then. Here's the good part. This teacher flares and scolds the students, expects them to hand it up during Day 2's PHYSICAL EDUCATION period. MY GOD, are these teachers sick of their teaching career already? Or did they drop some loose nuts and bolts?
  • Resuming from where I left off, these pupils were COMMANDED to stay back THREE hours after school to complete their report. Now now, this isn't the tertiary education system you know. Witholding students (voluntarily or involuntarily) AFTER school hours require a CONSENT FORM, informing parents/guardians of a pupil's whereabouts. Failure to do so is tantamount to KIDNAPPING, I could lodge a police report about my missing child. Back when I was in Juying Primary School during the good old days, Mdm Lam made us stay back all the time 'till late afternoons everyday, and made us come back every Saturdays for revisions. However, she knew how to cover her backside. She made parents aware of her intentions.
  • There is a very displeasing, uncomfortable feeling about this school. They don't seem to have the habit of replying E-MAILS even if you sent them a gazillion times. Trust me, I've waited a few months already. I guess they're TOO occupied and busy. Yes, the Principal's too busy to entertain valuable feedback and comments from parents and the public. Not even replies from the Vice-principal or some clerk to assure me in some way that some DELEGATION was at least in place! Know what, in that case, just get rid of the damn freaking email accounts lar.

Gosh why is this happenning? The reason why the standard of SG's educational system is continually degrading year by year is precisely because the QUALITY of our teachers is fading, and it is fading fast, especially for the neighbourhood schools. Teachers are old and unsound. They're the one that needs counselling and medications. NO WONDER LAH CIVIL SERVICE GOT PAYRISE. LOSING TALENT.
